Protico Ads Media Kit

Last updated: 2026-10-03

Protico Ads is a cross-site community-native advertising network in Taiwan, placing ads inside the community lobbies of more than 50 partner platforms to bring relevant traffic to landing pages for purchases, sign-ups and inquiries. This media kit explains how Protico Ads compares with and complements ChatGPT Ads, Google PMax (Performance Max) and Meta Ads, alongside MCP conversational setup, billing, creative formats, targeting and measurement. Product capabilities and customer observations are identified separately to help advertisers and media buyers evaluate campaigns.

1. Native advertising for traffic and conversion goals

Native describes how an ad fits its surroundings; traffic and conversions describe campaign goals. Protico Ads uses community-native placements to support discovery, website visits and landing-page conversion journeys.

  • Native ads · Be discovered in discussion: Image and video creative appears in partner community lobbies, putting brands alongside relevant topics. Plan CPM campaigns around impression goals.
  • Traffic ads · Turn interest into visits: Use CPC campaigns to send visitors to product, event or content pages. Add UTM parameters to identify sources and assess clicks and on-site engagement.
  • Conversion goals · Measure the next action: Plan around purchases, forms or registrations. Combine relevant community traffic, a landing page and advertiser-side analytics to evaluate conversions and acquisition costs.

Landing-page links and UTM parameters are available today. Conversion measurement needs advertiser-side events and analytics. Platform pixels, S2S postbacks and GA4 integrations are rolling out; see the Media Kit for availability. A conversion goal does not imply CPA billing or automated conversion bidding.

2. How Protico Ads, ChatGPT Ads, Google PMax and Meta work together

Choose channels around where customers are and what they are doing. ChatGPT Ads connects needs with products in AI conversations; Protico Ads creates relevant encounters in communities across websites. Both can support discovery in context and complement conversion-focused Google Performance Max (PMax) and Meta Ads at different moments in the customer journey.

PMax is a goal-based campaign type; GDN is display inventory that may form part of its channel mix. They are not interchangeable. Compare placements, context and workflows, subject to each platform's current eligibility and features. This comparison does not rank CTR or CVR from unrelated samples.

3. AI friendly: set up ads through conversation

Describe your marketing needs and use an MCP-compatible AI agent to work with Protico Ads, bringing objectives, budgets, creative, landing pages and delivery settings into a conversational workflow. Brands can also use the dashboard or work with their agency.

  • Describe your goal, audience, schedule and budget.
  • Provide creative and a landing page, then configure the campaign with an authorized AI agent.
  • Confirm the settings and submit for review; once approved, deliver on schedule and assess results.

ChatGPT Ads focuses on advertising within ChatGPT and also provides Ads Manager and an Advertiser API. Protico's conversational setup is an advertiser workflow. The two can complement each other across AI conversations and community discussions.

Ads appear as a floating bubble in the community lobby and take turns with the community conversation, drawing attention through a community mechanic that is unique to the lobby and creating more opportunities for attention and interaction.

7. Placement logic and targeting

Different advertising tools can address demand at different touchpoints. Google PMax (Performance Max) is a goal-based campaign type that uses advertiser conversion goals, assets and signals with Google AI and Smart Bidding to optimize conversions or conversion value across channels. Audience signals guide the AI rather than impose fixed audience limits. GDN is a display network, part of the inventory PMax may use. Protico Ads selects community contexts through partner platforms, IAB content categories and discussion topic clusters, placing ads next to relevant conversations.

For a camping-gear brand, Google PMax can use purchase goals, tent or sleeping-bag assets and audience signals to find conversion opportunities across eligible Search, YouTube, Display, Discover, Gmail and Maps inventory; not every campaign uses every channel. Protico Ads adds a touchpoint next to camping discussions on partner platforms. Brands can combine these with ChatGPT Ads and Meta Ads, allocating budget according to available markets, measurement and actual results.

These figures describe existing Protico campaigns and customer observations, with different reporting scopes and dates. They are not expected results for every advertiser or a like-for-like performance comparison with ChatGPT, Google or Meta. Observed before-and-after CVR changes cannot be attributed solely to the advertising platform. Results vary by industry, creative, landing page and campaign objective.

10. Tracking and reporting

  • Report metrics: impressions, clicks, CTR; video ads also report view duration and completion rate; all broken down by partner platform.
  • Campaign start, end, and budget-status notifications; the performance dashboard is provided by Protico.
  • Available today: clicks go to the advertiser's landing page with UTM support. Advertisers can measure purchases, sign-ups or inquiries in their own website analytics using their chosen attribution method. UTM tags identify traffic sources; they do not mean Protico already provides complete native conversion attribution.
  • Rolling out: Protico conversion pixels, server-to-server postback, GA4 and other analytics integrations, and view-through attribution. Confirm the availability of the features required for your campaign before implementation. A conversion goal does not imply CPA billing, automated conversion bidding or guaranteed results.

11. How to start

  • Register a brand account (or have your agency set it up) with your objective, flight dates, and budget range.
  • Top up, then upload creatives (multi-ratio images or a video up to 30 seconds with a poster) and the landing page.
  • Set targeting (platforms, content categories, topic clusters) and the frequency cap, and start delivering: as fast as one hour, and typically within 36 hours for a new brand's first campaign.

Brands can also use an AI agent connected through MCP (Model Context Protocol) to set up ads through conversation. Available operations depend on account permissions and supported tools; creative review, budget and delivery conditions still apply. The launch times above reflect prior operating experience and vary with account setup and creative review.

13. Buyer FAQ

How are Protico Ads and ChatGPT Ads (GPT Ads) similar and different?

Both emphasize a user's current needs and conversational context. ChatGPT Ads uses the context of conversations within ChatGPT; Protico Ads places ads next to community discussions across partner websites. These distinct touchpoints can complement each other. Protico's MCP conversational setup is an advertiser workflow, not a way to buy or place Protico ads inside ChatGPT, and does not imply a partnership with OpenAI.

How does Protico Ads differ from Google PMax (Performance Max), and is PMax the same as GDN?

Google PMax (Performance Max) is a goal-based campaign type using Google AI and Smart Bidding to optimize conversions or conversion value across eligible Search, YouTube, Display, Discover, Gmail and Maps inventory using advertiser goals, assets and signals. Audience signals guide the AI rather than set fixed targeting limits. GDN is a display network; PMax can use its inventory alongside other channels, so the terms are not interchangeable and not every campaign uses every channel. Protico Ads provides community-lobby placements and discussion context across partner sites, with billing such as CPM and CPC. A conversion goal does not imply PMax-style automated conversion bidding. The two can complement each other across touchpoints and measurement needs.

Can I use Protico Ads for traffic advertising or conversion-focused campaigns?

Yes. Plan around traffic and conversion goals by using CPC campaigns to send people to a landing page, then measure purchases, sign-ups or inquiries with UTM tags and your own analytics. Native advertising describes the placement and format; traffic and conversion describe marketing objectives. Protico conversion pixels, S2S and GA4 integrations are rolling out and require an availability check. A conversion goal does not imply CPA billing, automated conversion bidding or guaranteed results.

Can I set up ads through an AI conversation?

Protico Ads supports AI agents connected through MCP so advertisers can configure campaigns conversationally, within account permissions and supported tools. This is the advertiser's setup experience. Ads still run in Protico partner-platform community lobbies and remain subject to creative review, budget and delivery conditions.

How is Protico Ads different from content-recommendation native ads?

Both are native advertising; the difference is the placement context. Content-recommendation ads appear in recommendation widgets at the end of articles or in sidebars; Protico Ads appears inside community lobbies, at the moment users are discussing and asking.

How do I get the rate card?

Rates are quoted per campaign by objective, creative format, and placement scope. Billing is CPM or CPC, and video ads are billed against view duration, completion rate, and click-through rate as goals.

Can I run campaigns self-serve?

Yes. Brands operate campaigns themselves or through their agency; the Protico team advises on operation based on its understanding of feature design and the delivery algorithm, and campaigns can also be operated through Agent MCP.

What are the video ad specifications?

Up to 30 seconds with a poster image. Brands can run the horizontal or vertical videos they already use on other platforms with no additional editing; billing is goal-based on view duration, completion rate, and click-through rate.

How do you prevent the same person seeing the same ad repeatedly?

Set an impression cap per user per partner platform; campaigns can also carry a total budget cap that stops delivery automatically.

How fast can a campaign go live?

As fast as one hour when operated through Agent MCP; a new brand typically goes from registration to its first campaign within 36 hours.
